These exceptional piquillo peppers imported from the Navarra region of Spain are lovingly crafted by a small producer dedicated to preserving tradition. Each pepper is carefully roasted over a wood fire, then peeled by hand and nestled into small glass jars. No water touches the peppers after roasting, which preserves their natural essence and keeps the flavor concentrated. And these peppers have no added preservatives.
In a market flooded with piquillo peppers, none quite compare to these gems in terms of size, color, and intensity of flavor. They are delicious and versatile. Among the many ways we use piquillo peppers are these: stuffed with cheese and baked, fried with garlic in olive oil and served on bread, added to salads or sandwiches, and of course added into a paella.
